FogQuest has been working with communities in arid regions around the world since its founding in 2000. In its early years, the organization was actively involved in designing, implementing, and evaluating fog collection systems across a wide range of countries, including Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Haiti, Yemen, Oman, Eritrea, Namibia, Nepal, and Guatemala. These projects established the technical foundation and field experience that FogQuest continues to draw on today.
FogQuest’s current focus is on providing guidance and mentoring to individuals, communities, and organizations that wish to evaluate the potential of new fog collection sites or carry out operational projects of their own. The project overviews in this section document that work and are maintained as a practical resource for anyone interested in fog water harvesting, whether exploring a new location or studying what has been accomplished in similar climates and terrains.
